Mendy Landreth has affectionately been called "a mender of people." She uses her compassion and empathy to bring healing to individuals and families. Mendy’s extensive training in child-centered play therapy has been the backbone of her powerful work with children and has made her more attuned to her adolescent and adult clients as well. In addition to talk therapy, she utilizes sandtray therapy and other expressive art activities with interested clients of all ages.
Mendy has a solid educational foundation, beginning with her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Studies. In 2002, she earned her Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas, which has been ranked the #1 counseling program in Texas. Mendy is grateful for the privilege of studying under her father-in-law, Dr. Garry Landreth, world-renowned authority in the field of play therapy.
Having been married over 25 years, Mendy has gained insight that allows her to offer hope and encouragement to other women and couples. She especially enjoys providing premarital counseling. Being a mom has allowed Mendy to understand how challenging parenting can be, which is why she is so eager to come alongside parents to make their jobs less stressful. As a Certified Child-Parent Relationship Therapist, Mendy has successfully trained parents, grandparents, teachers, and fellow counselors with practical tools that have led to a reduction of unwanted behaviors. Mendy recognizes the benefit of counseling for people in all stages of life, whether they’ve endured trauma or simply need help coping with anxiety and finding peace in the midst of overly hectic lifestyles. Mendy is a follower of Jesus and enjoys providing spiritual support to clients who request to incorporate spiritual topics in session.
Allison moore, M.S.

Allison Moore has a strong passion to empower and bring hope to children, adolescents, parents, and families. Allison believes that all people have an innate power and ability to shape the growth and appropriate change they are needing, within the context of a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. With ample education and experience working with children and families, she has a unique understanding of the developmental needs of children and adolescents. Adults play an instrumental role in the care and development of children, therefore Allison also has strengths and insight into how to support adults and families as well.
Allison received her Bachelor of Science in Communications with a minor in Family Studies from Abilene Christian University. After graduation, she participated in Teach for America, a nonprofit organization that recruits and equips college graduates to teach in underserved areas around the nation. This experience drove her passion for meeting children’s social and emotional needs exponentially. Her skill set and understanding grew after attending the University of North Texas to pursue a master’s in Counseling, which is often ranked as the #1 counseling program in Texas. Allison spent 5 years as an elementary school counselor in Coppell ISD before deciding to work exclusively in private practice.
Allison’s strength and confidence is grounded in the unconditional love that is extended to us by God. Psalm 139 indicates that as God’s people, we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. Allison’s efforts within the counseling relationship are to be an extension of God’s love for others and to bring a sense of hope and encouragement to clients from all backgrounds. Allison focuses her time with clients in a purposeful way to help them better understand themselves, their emotions, find healthy ways to express their emotions, and develop an overall healthy and secure sense of self.

Allie believes healing begins with connection. Everyone has a unique story to tell, but as humans, we can empathize with one another through felt emotions. Allie depends upon her relationship with clients to build trust and provide a safe space for clients to share their story. Allie is passionate about helping adults of all ages, couples, adolescents, and children. Through her training, she has developed a special interest in helping clients process and heal from trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, and relationship issues.
Allie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Sociology from Texas A&M University which broadened both her cultural sensitivity and compassion for others. After graduation, she explored opportunities within both non-profit and medical fields. In her experience at UT Southwestern as a Fellowship Coordinator, Allie deepened her understanding of the mental health toll medical professionals face which inspired her to pursue a career in the mental health field. Allie graduated from Texas Woman’s University with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health after completing her coursework and a year-long internship at a residential treatment center, primarily counseling those struggling with alcoholism, problematic sexual behavior, and drug addiction. Through this internship, Allie developed skills in exploring family of origin issues and trauma, as well as helping clients find coping mechanisms that work for them. Allie has also completed Child-Centered Play Therapy training from the Center for Play Therapy at the University of North Texas.
Allie’s compassion and love for others is rooted in Christ’s love for her. If requested and preferred, Allie is open to encouraging clients through a faith-based perspective with Scripture to help clients unpack their struggles and remind them that they are not alone. Allie is all about relationships, and that is evident in the way that she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. You can always find her surrounded by her closest people enjoying her favorite hobbies including watching college football on Saturdays in the fall, traveling, or trying a new restaurant. Allie looks forward to building a trusting relationship with you!

April Dyer is a compassionate individual with a strong dedication to fostering hope and healing in others. Drawing from over 14 years of experience in education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to her work as a counselor. Her background of working with children with various issues, including foster care, adoption, blended families, and grief, has equipped her with a deep understanding of many of the challenges families face.
April holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas. Currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University, she is committed to expanding her expertise and furthering her ability to support her clients under the direct supervision of Mendy Landreth, LPC-Supervisor.
In addition to her academic pursuits, April volunteers at a bereavement center, where she works with children coping with the loss of a parent. This opportunity has strengthened her empathy and sharpened her skills in providing support to individuals facing difficult circumstances. April is particularly passionate about equipping and supporting parents, drawing from her own experiences as an adoptive parent and her desire to cultivate strong family connections. Her training in sandtray therapy and her training in child-centered play therapy from UNT’s world-renowned Center for Play Therapy underscores her commitment to utilizing evidence-based approaches to support her clients.
With her unique blend of education, experience, and compassion, April Dyer is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to navigate life’s complexities and cultivate resilience. April views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process, partnering with clients and relying on the Holy Spirit’s guidance as the comforter, redeemer, and revealer of truth for all mankind. She is honored to walk alongside clients as they come into alignment with all God created them to be.

Jennifer Stewart earned her B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Early Childhood Development from Texas A&M University. After graduation, she spent several years teaching in elementary education. Jennifer decided to fulfill a dream by becoming a stay-at-home mom, while spending time volunteering in various school, church, and extra-curricular activities with her children. Jennifer has also been employed as a preschool teacher and has held administrative positions within a private high school setting. Her various personal and professional experiences have equipped her to thrive in her current role of interacting with our clients of all ages, and her attention to detail allows her to keep things running smoothly in our office, behind the scenes.
Jennifer has been married for over 28 years and has 2 adult children. She is active in her church, specifically sharing her time and talent in music ministry. She enjoys singing, reading, traveling, scrapbooking her family history, crafting, and loves college football! Also, Jennifer loves to spend as much time with family and friends as possible.
